Never Underestimate The Power Of A Kind Word

A few years back my mother in-law made us this beautiful cross stitch picture. It was a gift for Christmas and she framed it to hang on our wall. Now my mother in-law is one of those “old school” stern women who doesn’t really show a lot of emotion and with her loose tongue can be hard to swallow at times. Here is what the cross stitch picture said:

Lord, help my words be sweet today…..

I may have to eat them tomorrow!

Yes, I could have taken that sincere quote in so many different ways, especially coming from her. But I know what a caring and loving woman she is and I appreciate all she has done for my family so I took it as a simple lesson for life.

This lesson for life is day 4 of my 7 days of inspiration. This is a simple one for us yet so few seem to do it. For me I think it requires me to socialize and I struggle with that. For most I think it’s just a matter of taking a few extra seconds out of your day. With our busy lives we focus what needs to be done instead of what we can be doing.

Day 4 Inspiration

Never Underestimate The Power Of A Kind Word

To all my readers, Thank You for supporting and believing in me! It’s people like you that make this world a better place. I appreciate you visits and I wish you the best of success in all you do.

Day 3 Of MommyMachelle’s Inspiration

MommyMachelle

I hope by now you are waking up each morning knowing that the day is going to be great. And how are you doing at remembering those long lost dreams, you know the ones collecting cobwebs in the back of your mind?  My purpose here is to believe in you, your dreams and your future. In order for that to happen – mom’s you have to begin.

Day 3 Inspiration

Begin Today What You Want To Become Tomorrow

Begin to dream again!

Begin to believe that there is more to life than the house, hubby and kids!

Begin to remember who you were, who you are now and what you want to become!

Such simple words yet so difficult to achieve. I know, it’s a daily struggle for me as well. I can’t remember the last time I put me first and to be honest I don’t know that I am to the point yet, if ever that I will put me first. I see other women do it all the time and sadly I criticize some of them. Yet I wonder it is because I think they are selfish or am I just jealous that I can’t or should I say won’t, do the same. Something I will have to give more thought to! Have a great day, you’re awesome!

Your Dose of Inspiration – Day 2

I hope you woke up this morning, took a look in the mirror and told yourself, “Today is going to be a great day!” Starting each day with those 6 simple little words will pay off, I’m doing it and it’s working. Yep, those days can fall apart by mid-morning but I know I get to start again tomorrow! So let’s continue on, here is your 2nd dose of daily inspiration:

Day 2 Inspiration

Give your dreams more attention than your worries!

For me that’s not quite as easy. I constantly focus on the things that are bothering me or the stress that consumes my life. Why? I have to ask myself, it’s not doing me a damb bit of good. Most of the time I can’t remember what my dreams were or should I say are! When I wrote the article on “giving up or going on” It reflected on just how hard it is to give your dreams the attention they deserve but instead letting your day to day life consume you. Well after that day, I had to re-evaluate what I wanted, where I was going in life and here I am still working away as a mommy blogger! No, it’s not paying the bills yet, but I love it. I want to be successful, I know my hard work will pay off one day! In the meantime, I am just going to enjoy the interaction with people, what I have learned to this point and dream big!
